CGU's Boat Insurance is an all-in-one cover. This insurance provides exceptional benefits to enable you to sit back and enjoy your sailing vessel

With CGU's Boat Insurance, your vessel is covered against the nightmares boat owners dread: theft; fire; malicious damage; stranding and capsizing; collision with other vessels, jetties, submerged objects or motor vehicles; and damage while loading or unloading your boat.

It's also good to know that you're covered while in transit or in inland waters; within 200 nautical miles off the Australian coastline; or idle. And full salvage and recovery expenses are included over and above the sum insured.

Features include:

• $10 million liability cover
  CGU's Boat Insurance will protect you for most damage you may become legally required to pay. This includes death or injury to any person and damage to property (eg. another person's boat).
  
• Faultless excess
  This means you do not need to pay your excess if we agree the accident was caused by someone else. All you need to do is provide us with the name and current address of the person responsible for the accident.
  
• No Claim Bonus of up to 30%
  When you select CGU Boat Insurance we will increase your No Claim Bonus up to our maximum entitlements for each claim free year.  We will also provide you with a No Claim Bonus entitlement when you have been comprehensively insured with another insurer (within the past three months). 
  
• Automatic cover and full replacement value
  Lost your boat? Motor ruined by fire? We won't leave you stranded. CGU's Boat Insurance provides an automatic 14-day cover for your replacement vessel or motor. If your vessel or motor is less than 12 months old, you'll get full replacement value in the event of a total loss.
  
• 14 day automatic cover for replacement boat
  If you trade in your insured boat or its trailer for another, CGU Boat Insurance provides an automatic 14 day cover for the replacement boat (or trailer), provided you tell us about the boat or trailer within 14 days.
